AUBH maintains a digital repository “http://aubh.figshare.com” in which it stores and makes available various works via the Internet or other electronic means.

By submitting material for the Repository, the person is agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

                                       

                                                  TERMS OF LICENCE

 

  • GRANT OF RIGHTS TO THE UNIVERSITY 

I agree that AUBH may electronically store, copy, and permits publish, distribute, or translate the Work to any medium or format for the purpose of future preservation and accessibility. AUBH is not under any obligation to reproduce or display the Work in the same formats or resolutions in which it was originally deposited. 

The information submitted by the Depositor relating to the Work (“Metadata”) to promote access to the Work in or through the Repository.

 

  • DEPOSIT IN THE AUBH REPOSITORY

I understand that the Work submitted in this repository will be publicly accessible on the web, allowing further redistribution of the material under a Creative Commons license. I am aware that the metadata may be deposited in public access catalogues after the work is published. This citation to the Work will always remain visible, although the author retains the right to update the work. Removal of the item can be made after discussion with the institutional repository administrators.  

Items can be deposited at any time but will not be made publicly visible until any publishers' or funders' embargo period has expired. 

The validity and authenticity of the content of submissions is the sole responsibility of the depositor. 

  • I AGREE AS FOLLOWS: 
  • That I am authorized by the authors to enter into this Agreement and, in doing so, grant the AUBH permission to make the Work accessible via the Website.

  • That I have taken reasonable steps to guarantee that it is original to the best of my knowledge, the Work does not violate any laws, including those pertaining to defamation, libel, copyright, and data protection. However, in the event of a dispute in this area I agree that the Work will be removed from the AUBH Repository until the matter is resolved.  

  • AUBH does not hold any obligation to take legal action on behalf of the Depositor or other rights holders, in the event of breach of intellectual property rights, or any other rights in the material deposited.   

  1. COPYRIGHT AND USE OF WORK 

  • Contents in the repository is licensed under Creative Commons licenses. The appropriate CC licenses can also be chosen. 
  • Copies of entire works generally can be used for noncommercial, educational, and personal research and study without seeking prior approval, however, you must provide the appropriate attribution. Mention of the AUBH Repository will be appreciated but is not obligatory. Full items must not be sold commercially in any format or medium without formal permission of the copyright holders.
  • You should not upload data containing copyrighted content that is not owned by either the University of AUBH or its employees, except in cases where that content is either licensed to permit derivations, or permission to upload and/or publish the data has otherwise been explicitly granted by the copyright holder.  
  • Any copyright violations are entirely the responsibility of the authors/depositors. 

  • DISCLAIMER AND TAKEDOWN POLICY 

 

  • The validity and authenticity of the content of submissions is the sole responsibility of the depositor.
  • AUBH is not responsible for the accuracy, reliability or currency of information posted to the repository. 
  • If there is a query regarding copyright violation, the relevant work will be removed while the matter is investigated further. 

 

  • TERMINATION & REMOVAL OF WORK

The University may at any time immediately and without notice, terminate this License or suspend access to the Work, upon the occurrence of any of the following circumstances:

  • If it is claimed that the Work contains or describes research that was modified or created due to a person's dishonest or deceptive behavior,
  • if it is alleged that the Work or Metadata violates any third party's legal rights.
  • if it is claimed that the Work or Metadata contains offensive, defamatory, confidential, or sensitive information.

 

  • IF THIS LICENSE IS TERMINATED, THE UNIVERSITY:

  • will remove the Work from the Repository within 7 days of termination.
  • The metadata might be retained and made accessible.
  • Retain a copy or copies of the Work for archival purposes.

 

  • LIABILITY

The University shall not be responsible for any mistakes, omissions or legal infringements in the Work or the Metadata.

 

  • END-USERS

  • The University will have the right to permit anybody accessing the Work in or through the Repository to reproduce the Work for personal, non-commercial use, unless the depositor requests otherwise.
  • The University shall not be responsible for If an End-User uses the work in a way that is illegal infringes on the rights of anybody, or for any other reason and shall have no duty to act on behalf of the Depositor and/or the copyright owner(s).
